Greetings. Articles 4 and 5 of the Instant Income Success series are going to be looking at how to ensure your cutomer list is credible and profitable. One way of doing this is by making sure your customers want to be your customers, and this can be ascertained very easily using an Opt-in form. If you’re new to the Internet Marketing business, I’ll answer your first question now: What is an Opt-in form?
An opt-in is the form you will put on your squeeze page asking visitors to enter their name and email address. When they do, their details will automatically be recorded on your aWeber account, thus building your list of prospective customers.
So, having set up your aWeber account, select the tab to ‘Create and Manage’ your list; at this point you should give your list a name (something that relates to the product you’re selling). Also you can choose to tick the ‘notifications’ box, so that you’re updated every time a new person is added to your list (this is a great feeling!)
You are now asked whether you want a ‘Confirmed Opt-In Status’; select the ‘On’ button. Confirmed opt-in is the process that allows your user to verify that they do want to be added to your mailing list – after inputting their details they will receive an email asking them to confirm that they have chosen to give you their details. This helps siphon off the accidental users from the serious customers, and is good practice for increasing your credibility with your prospects to show that you are not spamming their email account.
You can personalise the message to your customers by deleting the default message and re-writing your own. A further customer connection can be ensured by selecting the ‘Name Fix’ option – this means that each customers’ name is used at the beginning of the email; for example, ‘Hi Mark, thanks for signing up!’.
When you scroll down the page, you are presented with a box to input your ‘Confirmation Success Page URL’. We now need to head to Clickbank to get the Hoplink which will fill this box.
So, having signed up to Clickbank (and created a nickname for yourself); find the product you want to promote (remember I showed you how to do this in article 2). When you click the green ‘Promote’ button, to the right of your chosen product, you will be taken to the next screen where you will enter your nickname. Ignore the ‘tracking ID’ and just click create. Then you will see your Hoplink (save it to your Copy Sheet – discussed in article 3!!)
In order to get your customers to the Seller’s product page (the one which you’re promoting and going to make high commissions on), you need to paste your Click Bank Hoplink into the ‘Confirmed Success Page URL’ box on aWeber. Than, all you need to do is sit and wait for the customer to click the link and buy – making money online is that easy!
